Efforvia started because running a consulting practice on spreadsheets stops working long before anyone admits it. The hours are in one file, the contract in an email thread, the invoice at the accountant, and the answer to “are we making money on this client” is a feeling rather than a number.

So the product was built around the chain rather than around a feature list: work is planned, done, approved, reported, priced under real contract terms, invoiced, collected and finally measured. Each of those is a separate number in Efforvia because each of them is a separate number in reality.

It is used every day to run real consulting work. That is also why the boring parts — versioned contracts, audit history, currency handling, permission-level data hiding — exist. They are not enterprise decoration; they are what breaks first when you skip them.
